Talk and workshops

A talk and two classes are to be held during the course of the exhibition

  • TALK Being an Artist in the Digital Age (FREE) is on Monday 16 February at 2pm. Artists Anita Klein and Lis Watkins will be talking through their experiences of the web, twitter, blogging and selling work online.  The event is supported by Artspan.co.uk.
  • LIFE CLASSES: There are also two free workshops with drawing materials provided free of charge as well. Booking is essential. To book, please contact Parker Harris: emaillps@parkerharris.co.uk or telephone 01372 462190
    • Tuesday 17 February, 12-2pm Life Drawing: Form and Line Workshop with Jeanette Barnes. Jeanette is a very experienced tutor and I did classes with her some years ago. She's excellent and recommended.
    • Friday 20 February, 12-2pm Portrait Drawing: Form and Tone Workshop with Daniel Shadbolt. I tried one of these workshops out a few years back - and Daniel was the tutor. He's very helpful and friendly.

    1. I hope you will write a bit about the social media talk - i was sitting at the back and only heard half of what they said. Particularly the guy on the right - no mention of his name in the promo. Hope you got it

    2. It was extremely difficult to hear wasn't it! I was much closer to hear you and I kept missing stuff.

I've only been to talks before where the speakers were sat on the other side of the room and hence not subject to being side-swiped by the noise from people entering the gallery.

The chap is called Louis Appleby and he won Young Artist of the Year for "Planet of the Apps"

    3. That's quite a list to look though! Congrats to everyone on the list for being selected!
