Art Supplies Around The World - Resources for Artists

A new resource - Art Supplies Around The World - Resources for Artists - for those who travel or who live outside the UK and USA.
If you're an artist and want art supplies while travelling - where should you go? Or you live outside the UK or USA - where are the best art shops?

If you want to know the answers to those questions, bookmark this site as I've started an inventory of links to websites and address and contact details for art suppliers recommended by me and others
For more information see Art supplies and art shops outside the UK and USA over on Making A Mark reviews

It's a wonderful excuse to show you my photos of art shops I've lingered in!

  1. Can't offer any recommendations as yet, but that photo of the powdered pigment display in Italy is wonderful, thanks Katherine!

  2. Katherine - wasn't sure how to contact you, but I know you can disseminate information very quickly. Several daily painters were having issues with the thumbnails in their blogroll not showing up. I found out the answer on a french forum, and just wanted to share the solution. I've posted on my blog a how-to solution.

Since we all rely so heavily on our images, I think it is important to make sure that they are working properly!

    Thank you for your help!

  3. In Australia, Melbourne also has a significant arts scene. In terms of supplies there are eckerley's stores in Melbourne and there is Dean's Art.

There are many art supply stores in Japan but those two carry the art supplies by most of the well-known manufactures worldwide and have the best discount rate. Great variety of supplies in several floors.
