This is a recent video made about the nature of his preoccupations in terms of art and the art he has made - and the largest retrospective ever held of his work - at Houghton Hall between 30th April to 26th October 2017. It shows him creating his artworks in the recent exhibition - which is fascinating of itself. (Check out the profile of his eyebrows which are sculptures in their own right!)

Sir Richard Long's contribution to art is rightly rewarded with an honour. I feel that his work draws attention to the art that surrounds us and is so easily overlooked that being - nature itself, its fragility and the ephemeral quality of life. I do question the honours list, feeling that often those selected are chosen for the wrong reasons. I do believe that there are many people that are overlooked such as those in Society who quietly work away helping others but - Richard Long - yes, he should be a Sir.
