Great tips for sketching crowds and spattering with a colour stick and water brush, Katherine. Of course I had to immediately drop everything and play with watercolour pencils and Neocolor II watersoluble pastels.

ReplyDeleteI remember being shown the tip about crowds (which also works without watercolour pencils!) a long time ago by a portrait artist who told me that the thing people always got wrong with crowds was "the feet". The perceived size of feet and the actual size is very different

ReplyDeleteThanks for highlighting this video! I would never have found it on youtube on my on. I'm really new to watercolour and watercolour pencils and am still experimenting. I'll definitely have to try the wet pencils and pencil-in-wet technique now :P
