The main thing I want from a website that I don't have now is the ability to automatically generate "next" and "previous" displays instead of click to enlarge, back to thumbnails, click to enlarge, back to thumbnails. I have to set all the links to do that manually in Dreamweaver (as far as I know) and it's a pain. My Network Solutions hosting account renews in May and so I need to get to work on moving and rebuilding my site (or deciding to stay put).Jana Bouchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18019523068496828367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20645140.post-592932073962587742007-09-10T22:45:00.000+00:002007-09-10T22:45:00.000+00:00Hi Jana. Perhaps more importantly I've also never seen any websites using it before.

From what I could see it looked relatively cheap but I wondered about:
* how many pages it offers. It says nothing on that topic. Personally I like to be able to split up artwork and group it appropriately
* how many painters it has on the main site - they all seem to be do with other aspects of the visual arts. I thought they'd maybe misspelt Landscapes until I realised landscaping really did mean garden design!
* it seems very USA oriented on the main site - but maybe only some bits of the USA?Making A Markhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13509483023337008890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20645140.post-6585944392810446492007-09-10T19:32:00.000+00:002007-09-10T19:32:00.000+00:00Hi Katherine,Re Artist Website stuff: I've been ex...Hi Katherine,
Re Artist Website stuff:
I've been exploring an easy, inexpensive, attractive, do-it-yourself webhost for artists only called zhibit.org. I can't find any pros or cons on the web about it and wonder if you've come across it before. It's been around two years and does everything I want it to but I'm nervous about moving my domain from its host on Network Solutions (which I manage using Dreamweaver, more complicated and slower than zhibit's system). I came across it when looking up the website of a woman in my plein air group. Her site is: zhibit.org/sumaJana Bouchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18019523068496828367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20645140.post-23776764205786447452007-09-10T06:11:00.000+00:002007-09-10T06:11:00.000+00:00i try and visit your blog when i have time as your...i try and visit your blog when i have time as your post are so informative and full of links that I spend half a day checking them out! thanks as always and get well soon!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20645140.post-31281915071277875912007-09-10T03:20:00.000+00:002007-09-10T03:20:00.000+00:00I always thought those kind of things were always ...I always thought those kind of things were always wrong (the quiz) but I did it anyways, and what a surprise! Hah!

I think the word Sue Smith is looking for is Creativity.

Perhaps you'll be at the SGFA private view? If so I'll try and find you, I'm going along around 6pm to see my friend Sue Lishman's work.

Tina.Tina Mammoserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18407199513409994699noreply@blogger.com
